Spring Airsoft Guns

The types of spring Airsoft guns differ just as greatly as the types of real steel guns do. Although finding spring powered Airsoft guns might be easy as they’re generally widely available, deciding which one to get can seem like climbing Mt. Everest. They have an alternate name too; Springers.

Spring Airsoft Rifles

Spring Airsoft rifles are one of the more traditional types of Airsoft guns. Shooting with a spring Airsoft rifle is actually very similar to shooting an actual rifle in the fact that the slide has to be cocked before each round is fired, making for very realistic game play. Spring Airsoft rifles are great for target shooting and are good spring guns for beginners.

Spring Airsoft Pistols

There are dozens and dozens of different types of Airsoft pistols available and the majority of them are spring action. The tactical game play with spring Airsoft pistols is thrilling – you’ll get the same exhilaration and adrenaline rush that you would if you were in a shoot out with a real pistol – minus the chance of actually getting shot with live ammo. That’s a bonus. Just like their real steel counterparts, spring Airsoft pistols are smaller, handheld and are excellent short range weapons. Pistols are great spring Airsoft guns for both newbies and experienced players because the game play is . . . well, awesome.

Spring Sniper Rifles

There’s nothing better than hitting your target dead on from your hiding spot knowing they never saw it coming and the best way to do that is with a great sniper rifle. Some sniper rifles are classified as electric Airsoft guns, but many more are spring powered and therefore a little easier to maintain. Spring sniper rifles are popular, because you get the experience of sharp shooting at a fraction of the cost. If you’re an experienced Airsoft player, you’ll want to have at least one sniper rifle in your collection although you might like to never put it down.

Spring Revolver

Revolvers are more for novelty than tactical game play, but many Airsoft players like to have a spring revolver on hand for the heck of it. Why not? These types of spring Airsoft guns are modeled after actual revolvers – six shot barrel and all – and are fun to shoot every now and then. However, if you’re in the field, it’s likely that your game will require a more advanced weapon.

Ultimately, when choosing a spring Airsoft gun – whether it’s your first Airsoft gun or your thousandth, it’s important to choose one you feel comfortable with. Spring Airsoft guns are actually fairly inexpensive, so it’s not uncommon for an Airsoft player to have many different types of spring powered Airsoft guns. You can actually build up quite a nice collection this way – of course, if you have the room to store them all. The last thing you want is to have to explain to your girlfriend why there are guns spilling out of your closet every time you open the door. That, of course, could be solved by dating another Airsoft player. Then you wouldn’t have to explain anything.
